Galileo Group shows ways to get started easily in SAP Cloud ALM

Munich, 23 September 2022 – Galileo Group AG, a leading software provider of turnkey integrations for IT factories and release, change and transport management for SAP solutions, is making it easy for companies to get started with SAP Cloud ALM. The Munich-based company will present its solution approach for the first time at the ALM-athon, a hackathon organised by SAP as part of the SAP ALM Summit EMEA from 18 to 22 October in Mannheim. Galileo Group's mission is to support the operation of cloud-centric and hybrid SAP landscapes for enterprises and to offer hybrid application lifecycle management (ALM) in a heterogeneous IT factory around SAP solutions. The Conigma Connect™ integration platform is available in the SAP® Store and works with SAP S/4HANA® and SAP Solution Manager as well as SAP Cloud ALM.

"This is our first time participating in the ALM-athon," says Malte Klassen, CEO of Galileo Group AG. "At the hackathon, we will show that we can enable SAP user companies to easily enter the world of SAP Cloud ALM with our solution Conigma Connect. In doing so, they don't have to throw their tried and tested tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or ServiceNow overboard. Rather, we integrate them and that way user companies can just keep using them."

Companies that use cloud-based technologies are increasingly appreciating the benefits of these solutions: faster value creation, smaller projects, shorter innovation cycles and lower total cost of ownership.

Digital transformation is now a lived continuous process. As a result, more and more SAP customers are moving their applications to the cloud and thus using software-as-a-service. However, companies also still have business applications that they run themselves on-premises or with hyperscalers. For such IT system landscapes, hybrid ALM is in demand because it integrates the applications from the cloud and on-premise world. "Not only the IT and SAP system landscapes, but also their ALM is becoming increasingly hybrid," analyses Malte Klassen.

In addition, customers naturally also use solutions from other providers for IT service management: the ITSM solution from ServiceNow, the project and programme management solutions Azure DevOps or Jira, applications for analysing and visualising data such as Grafana or test solutions from the SAP Enterprise Continuous Testing solution from Tricentis.

Galileo Group shows solution at ALM-athon

Galileo Group will demonstrate how these tools can be integrated with Conigma Connect software at the ALM-athon, an ALM hackathon hosted by SAP at the SAP ALM Summit EMEA. The ALM-athon is aimed at SAP partners who use ALM solutions and want to develop their own extensions with the tools. The 2022 challenge is: "How can partner solutions or third-party integrations benefit customers by extending SAP Cloud ALM with standard APIs?" The participating SAP partners start virtually. From these participants, SAP will select six partners to present their solution at the SAP ALM Summit EMEA. The audience will then vote on the best presentation.
