Technical project manager (m/f/d) in the area of DevOps product roll-outs

Job description as of January 9, 2024

Opportunity for applicants (m/f/d) with growth potential:

Employment as Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) for Product Rollouts at Galileo Group in Munich

Galileo Group AG is one of the most innovative German ISVs based in Munich. Our products address the core functionalities of our customers' IT factories on six continents.

Your work as a technical project manager consists of a mixture of typical project management functions paired with situational hands-on support. This means: Technical work in the engine room is allowed. In addition, you must not be afraid of people and different cultures. Your customers are not only located in Europe, but also in Asia and America, but are all supported remotely.

Topics that play a role in our projects include Distributed Computing / .NET Core / Blazor / Docker / Security / Authentication / Network / SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM. Nobody knows all of these topics equally well. However, our team spirit with mutual support ensures that we have been successful together in every rollout.

You can expect a medium-sized company with start-up structures and freedom, which is only limited by market dynamics but not homemade corporate guidelines.

What we expect

You come from a technical background (e.g. .Net core development) and want to focus your work on more than just the machine room. The organization of complex customer relationships and expectations also motivates you and takes you further.

Our product rollouts are multi-layered and not limited to individual technologies. The environment described above sufficiently describes the required hard and soft skills. This means that we have dispensed with the usual industry blah-blah about all the unrealistic Superman skills that you read about in job advertisements.

We have university computer scientists and mathematicians in our team. Chemists with a doctorate can also think and work in a structured way. IT specialists without a degree but with several years of intensive job experience fit into our team just as well as computer science graduates from universities of applied sciences.

In a personal interview, we will discover the essential things that are important to each other.

What you can expect

  • Pioneering technologies: You will have the opportunity to work on an exciting range of products and exchange ideas with international customers on six continents from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.

  • Inspiring colleagues: You can expect more technical input every day than you can possibly imagine at the moment.

  • Competitive remuneration: A more than competitive salary and benefits package that recognizes the values you bring to the table is always a good basis for a long-term partnership.

  • Dynamic and flexible environment: You will work in an agile team where your ideas and contribution are valued and reflected.

  • Hybrid working model: A healthy mix of home office and office days at our Munich location supports your personal freedom while integrating you closely into your team.

  • Work-life balance: Regular Focus Days allow you to work efficiently. That's why we allow ourselves a Recreational Friday every second week so that you can go to the mountains independently of the crowds, have time to go to the DIY store or simply laze around by the river Isar.
