Our History

Galileo Group AG (Galileo) located in Munich/Germany was founded by Malte Klassen in the beginning of 1999.

Based on the SAP consulting experience of the founder, which he collected working for a leading global German company, being extended by the knowledge of the first employees, Galileo focused in the early phase on customer specific implementations to enhance the SAP standard functionality.

Well known large corporations like Siemens AG or Postbank AG as well as leading medium size companies like Wanzl GmbH have been under the first customers contracting with Galileo.

Galileo developed the above business continuously until it received an order from one of the largest companies in Germany to plan and implement a quality assurance environment for a huge SAP project, which should last several years involving up to 150 people.

The lessons learned during this project ultimately have been the foundation for the second business unit of Galileo Group AG: Development and Selling of the standard software Conigma™, the currently most innovative and complete solution to manage the SAP Change-, Release- and Transport processes.

In the beginning of 2008 the business unit for standard software was spun off into a separate legal entity, Galileo Tools GmbH, whilst the SAP consulting business remained in Galileo Group AG.

Despite a lot of other changes within Galileo Group AG, the mission statement of the company stayed the same: To offer customers not only once professional services and products with high quality, but ensure this quality also in long-term sustainable partnership. Because trust obliges.
