Overview Conigma™ Suite

The Conigma Suite contains our software solutions enabling our customers to implement significantly more efficient IT processes for changing, maintaining, customizing and operating SAP resulting in remarkable cost reduction and in parallel improving the quality of SAP changes as well as guaranteeing higher availability of the SAP system landscapes. The Conigma Suite seamlessly integrates administration and development of SAP changes with SAP standards as it also allows the integration with the existing IT support infrastructure, i.e. ticket / helpdesk systems may be connected with SAP down to the level of software logistics and the Transport Management System (TMS); the same is possible for Software Change and Configuration Management (SCCM) products for client/server and host applications.

Galileo is focusing its efforts on four application segments:

• Automation of change-, release- and transport management processes for complex, parallel SAP landscapes, in particular if compliance is a mandatory requirement
• Integration of SAP change-, release- and transport management processes with enterprise wide software change and configuration management (SCCM) tools and helpdesk solutions
• Automation of frequently repeated tasks of SAP basis administrators
• Improvement of the SAP end user support

Conigma™ CCM
Conigma CCM controls and automates the IT processes for SAP Change-, Release-and Transport management from the creation of a Change Requests (business requirement) over development, test and documentation of the tasks related to a Change Request down to a fully automated delivery of the transport objects to the SAP landscapes (hereby SAP landscapes may have any kind of complexity and configuration). A Change Request or a Release, containing many Change Requests are the objects being managed by Conigma CCM, meaning a Change Request always contains all related transport orders, independent of

• related transport orders and/or Java assemblies needs to be imported into different SAP landscapes (i.e. ERP, BI, Portal) and
• different technologies have been used (Customizing, ABAP programming , Java programming) to implement the Change Request

For a Release, the same rules apply – a Release collects several/many Change Requests, which shall go live together - but a Release has an additional workflow process, which is independent from the workflows used for the single Change Requests.

Conigma CCM enables the user

• to implement customer specific, auditable (complete audit trail, IT compliance) and highly automated processes for SAP Problem-, Change-, Release- and Transport Management and enforce these within the organization and while cooperating with external partners
• to integrate the SAP testing tools (CATTS, ECATTS) into the workflow and automate testing steps
• to audit-proof archive Change Requests, Releases including all related meta data, attributes, workflows used, approvals, documentation, etc.
• to synchronize processes for development and operation of SAP across different customizing technologies (ABAP, JAVA) as well as across parallel SAP landscapes
• to configure a highly automated Transport management environment across many parallel SAP landscapes, ensuring a correct sequencing of transport orders, checking for object collisions, dealing with version mismatches, finally resulting in a significantly improved quality of the SAP change and Transport Management as well as a remarkable cost reduction
• to integrate SAP Change Management with enterprise wide change and configuration Management and helpdesk solutions, i.e. CA Unicenter Service Desk, CA Harvest, BMC Remedy, Telelogic ChangeSynergy
• to generate powerful reports, i.e. about status and progress of change requests, planned releases, etc. to have at any time in point a complete overview about all activities being in work. Process weaknesses and risks will be recognized and fixed efficiently. Using the Conigma CCM audit-trail, reports for compliance audits can generated automatically in minutes without special expertise being necessary and high costs generated.

Apart from the native integration of the Transport Management System for the ABAP stack of the SAP Netweaver Platform, Conigma CCM offers with the both add-ons Conigma JCM and Conigma XCM powerful change and transport management functionality build on top of the SAP Java Development Infrastructure (JDI) , considerably extending its functionality. Conigma JCM enables enhanced change management capabilities for WebAS Java, whereas the Conigma XCM allows for integration of changes conducted in a SAP Exchange Infrastructure environment (SAP XI).

Part of Conigma CCM is a powerful API, enabling a bidirectional process integration between Conigma CCM and external change management solutions (i.e. Telelogic ChangeSysnergy, CA Harvest) or ticket-/helpdesk systems (i.e. CA Unicenter Service Desk, BMC Remedy).

Conigma™ QCOPY
Conigma QCOPY ensures that when an SAP system is copied and rebuild, all required adaptation and software components to achieve a consistent new configuration are transported automatically into the new SAP system. Conigma QCOPY may be also used to easily compare the import history of two SAP systems to identify inconsistencies and support the preparation of manual tasks, necessary before a system copy takes place.

Conigma QCOPY allows the user via a simple, intuitive graphical user interface to rebuild an SAP system into a consistent status after a system copy, and it also facilitates copying between different SAP clients. While it is not possible with the SAP interface to control technical modes how a software component needs to be installed, such modes are recognized by Conigma QCOPY and automatically implemented correctly.
